Imagine the château de Gizeux during the Middle-Ages or the Renaissance era...  It's not easy, especialy when you're between 5 and 12 years old!
To help children discover the château's history, we propose to make the past become alive! Thanks to costumes at their disposal, they slip into the skins of princesses and knights who once lived there.
Once familiarized with their "new life", children discover with more interest the château's history. They experiment with old customs and traditions, they live the discovery of the Francis 1st gallery and imagine themselves cooking on the ancient stove of the old kitchen...

Contemporary art invites itself to the château in 2018

Initiated by the Departemental Council of Indre-et-Loire, the contemporary art path Act(e)s is present in various cultural venues throughout Touraine Loire Valley. The installation De l'eau dans son vin is on display at the Château de Gizeux from April to November 2018.

Created by students of the Master 2 Environment, Territory, Landscape programme. This project was born out of a discussion between Carole Marchais, an artist, and Isabelle Lejeunesse, a teacher/researcher and the director of the Master’s programme. This installation is the result of a study performed by the students on the impact of climate change on the Montlouis-sur-Loire vineyard. The installation was designed around the theme of water and associated issues.

Evening "Patrimoine et Gourmandises" on the 21st of March

Because Spring is upon us, the Château de Gizeux is welcoming a cook as well as local producers to make discover the Gallery of Castles and to participate in its renovation.

Local producers unite to save heritage...
On the initiative of Vincent Simon, Cuisinier de Campagne - a famous country cook - and in collaboration with the local producers Gabriel Simon - poultry farmer - Philippe Boucard - winemaker - Anthony Foulon - beekeeper - and Laura Evrard - cheese producer - a friendly evening is organised at the Château de Gizeux.

Come enjoy the begining of spring and participate in the saving of heritage. This evening allies the visit of the Gallery of Castles with the owners, Géraud and Stéphanie de Laffon, and a diner-cocktail in the parlors. This event is accompanied by a Jazz concert by Dom&Manu.
